This set is marked “EIHO – Made in Japan,” which indicates that it was produced between the 1920s and 1940s. During the Meiji period (1868–1912), Japanese exports were marked “Nippon,” but after 1921, the requirement changed to “Japan” or “Made in Japan.” This, along with the painting style and porcelain thickness, suggests that this set was crafted during the late Taisho (1912–1926) to early Showa (1926–1940s) period rather than the Meiji era.
